In 20th Annual International Business Awards for ‘Best Business Technology Pivot’

FORT MILL, SC, August 15, 2023 – Compucom, a leading technology and IT services provider, recently was named a Bronze Stevie® Award winner in the Best Business Technology Pivot category in the 20th Annual International Business Awards®.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2023 IBAs received entries from organizations in 61 nations and territories.

More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Startup of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others. This year’s competition also featured a number of new categories to recognize organizations’ and individuals’ achievements in sustainability initiatives.

“When we embarked on this digital transformation journey more than 18 months ago, we set out to fundamentally change our technology landscape to gain efficiencies across the entire company,” said Compucom CIO Damon Venger. “We had to make sure we weren’t just an IT organization focused internally but one that is focused on and providing innovation and business value for all of Compucom and our customers.”

The transformation focused on three core areas needed to streamline and secure the IT operations, netting the company millions in annual business value, including cost savings, efficiencies gained and revenue growth:

  • The People: Organization and culture
  • The Process: Investment and program management
  • The Technology: Business and technology transformations

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 230 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process in June and July.

“Compucom’s Digital Transformation has resulted in impressive benefits, including cost savings and increased engagement and productivity.” wrote one of the esteemed judges. “The transformation covers many areas, from organization and culture to cybersecurity, sales, legal, eCommerce, field services, finance, and network infrastructure. The company’s focus on innovation and redesigned processes specific to its industry has created a stand-alone company, reduced siloes, and improved business models supported by new techniques and technologies. Compucom’s Digital Transformation has enabled profitable growth and positioned the company for future success.”

“As a technology and services provider, Compucom knew it had to lead the way in digital transformation,” said Kevin Shank, Compucom CEO. “We know what our customers are going through in terms of their own internal IT needs. Our teams are poised to assist them, backed by the knowledge and expertise gained by going through our own transformation.”

Winning the Bronze Stevie puts Compucom in good company, as Compucom’s 2023 Partner of the Year, Lenovo, was a Gold Stevie Award winner in 2022.

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 230 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process in June and July.
